As Waititi recalls after the premiere, the choice of Goldstein came to fruition due to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige himself.

Waititi said, “Kevin really wanted him to do it, and yes, Brett is amazing. He’s awesome” Ibrox. “And I don’t know if it’s about Thor, or if it’s about how that develops. Because, obviously, Hercules, there’s a character from the books as well. And so, yeah, that’s going to be fun. Look because Kevin, he’s obviously the mastermind of all of this. These threads and how they will connect and how they meet, mix and match. So I’m curious to know myself.”

Goldstein said in a separate interview that he only had two weeks to prepare for the role before filming.

“No, I didn’t know the purpose of that. I was told that some people at Marvel would like to have a zoom with you, and I met them and it was so surreal because… it was literally out of the blue of the night and I was so busy and it was like, “Can you make time to zoom in?” “Yes, sure.” Ted Lasso The star said in a recent conversation with Playlist.

He added, “They went on Zoom and just told me what you see in the movie, which kind of opened up about, ‘So Russell Crowe is Zeus,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, okay, go on.’ It’s you.” And I went, “What?” Just like, “Are you serious? Are you king with me? Is this a liquidation?” So, yeah, that was as surprising to me as I think it was to other people.”
